5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

jbcmedia.info uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the platform operates properly and, with your consent where required, to measure use of the platform. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is loaded through Google Tag Manager, and non-essential storage is denied by default using Google Consent Mode v2.

The cookies used on the platform fall primarily into the following categories:

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for the operation, security and basic functionality of the platform, including the management of your consent choices.

Measurement and Analytics Cookies

With your consent, Google Analytics 4 helps us better understand traffic to the platform and how users interact with our content. Standard data collected may include pages viewed, referral source, language, device and browser type, and an approximate location—city or region—derived from the IP address. Based on information provided by our service provider, Google Analytics does not retain the IP address used to determine this approximate location.

Advertising

Advertisements displayed on jbcmedia.info are served through Omerlo’s advertising module. Impressions and clicks are measured internally by the platform. No third-party advertising cookies or pixels are currently used for this purpose.

Embedded Content and Future Services

jbcmedia.info includes multimedia content provided through third-party services, including videos hosted on Vimeo and podcasts hosted on Spotify. This embedded content may require cookies or other technologies that allow Vimeo or Spotify to process certain technical data or information about your interaction with the content. Where required by law, such content and any associated non-essential technologies will not be activated until your consent has been obtained through our consent management tool.

Non-essential cookies are activated only after obtaining your consent where required by law.

You may accept or refuse non-essential cookies and change your choices at any time through the “Consent Preferences” link available in the platform footer. The consent banner is also presented to visitors in accordance with the configuration then in effect.

Refusing certain cookies may limit some features, but non-essential cookies are not required for general access to the platform’s content.

6. Identification, Location or Profiling Technologies

jbcmedia.info currently does not use any technology to profile users, any behavioural targeting tool, or request access to your browser’s geolocation function.

With your consent, Google Analytics 4 may nevertheless determine an approximate location, limited to the city or region, from your IP address.

If we later add identification, location or profiling technology governed by applicable privacy laws, we will inform you and obtain your consent where required before activating it.
